Course Summary
A Level Spanish is a dynamic and rewarding course that builds on the language skills developed at GCSE, while offering a deeper understanding of the cultures, politics, and societies of the Spanish-speaking world. It enables students to communicate confidently and fluently in Spanish and to engage critically with a range of contemporary and cultural topics.
Spanish is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world, used across Europe, the Americas, and beyond. Studying Spanish at A Level develops valuable skills such as communication, analysis, cultural awareness, and adaptability. It pairs well with subjects like English, History, Politics, and Business, and is highly regarded by leading universities including the University of Oxford, University of Cambridge, University College London (UCL), the University of Manchester, and King’s College London.
