Course Summary
In BTEC Sport Level 2 Award, you will cover a variety of units both practical and theoretical. 1 unit is externally assessed through an on line test and 3 other units are internally marked and verified by your teachers.
Fitness for Sport - Externally assessed
Practical Sport - Internally assessed
Sports Performer in Action - Internally assessed
Training for Personal Fitness - Internally assessed
The course is student centred. You learn through investigation and active involvement and will be expected to learn independently. Units are taught through ‘learning outcomes’ and each assignment will concentrate on testing and extending your knowledge in one or more of the outcomes.
The tutor will facilitate learning, offering advice and guidance as to how to approach the work. All units consist of a set of formal assessment tasks/assignments. The range of tasks will include experimental reports, investigative research, practical assessments and individual and group presentations. The level of attainment will be marked individually for each unit of the course.
