Course Summary

The core modules of this courses cover an introduction to the business environment, how businesses use and manage their resources, an introduction to marketing and how businesses communicate.

The course is a modular structure with students completing examinations of coursework at the end of each unit.


Course Details

For the Applied Business course, students will complete 6 mandatory units, the themes of which cover Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Business Planning and Business Strategy.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course is a mixture of exam and coursework assignments. There are two examinations with all further units assessed through coursework.

Entry requirements

Students will require a minimum of five 9-4 grades at GCSE, including English and Mathematics at level 5.

Your next steps...

Students can take this course alongside other Level 3 courses and progress to study Business Studies or other courses at university. Alternatively, the skills that have been learnt will enable students to work effectively in the workplace if they choose to move on to an apprenticeship or job in industry. The course will combine well with any other Level 3/A-Level subject and will help all students prepare for every possible career.
