With classes taught by experienced scientists in university-standard laboratories, the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Applied Science is a fantastic programme to develop the basic science skills taught in schools. You will study various subjects covering a range of topics in chemistry, biology and physics, all of which will introduce you to a range of new concepts and ideas. Units could include The Living Body, Applications of Life Science, Applications of Chemical Substances and World Energy. Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English or maths at grade D/3 or above.

This course will prepare you for a variety of worthwhile careers in science and associated industries. It also forms a perfect preparation for the level 3 Diploma in Applied Science.
