This course will provide learners with education and training for entry into the beauty therapy sector.

You will cover a range of mandatory units and gain an understanding of health and safety in the salon to treatments and how to promote products and services.

This qualification consists of seven mandatory units:

1. Follow health and safety practice in the salon.

2. Client care and communication in beauty related industries.

3. Promote products and services to clients in a salon.

4. Provide facial skin care

5. Apply make up.

6. Provide manicure treatments.

7. Provide pedicure treatments

All units are internally assessed .

Students need to have an interest in the beauty industry. There are no formal prerequisite qualifications that you must have prior to undertaking this qualification.

This qualification can lead on to further study or entry into the beauty therapy sector.
