Course Summary

This course allows you to learn more about the Public Sector in the UK and develop the skills necessary for joining the uniformed services. The course combines the disciplines of global affairs, sociology, citizenship and diversity, criminology, outdoor and adventurous activities and practical elements such as fitness and training.

Course Details

The course will provide a detailed knowledge of the Public Services and current affairs. You will have the opportunity to experience teacher led classroom based activities in conjunction with real life experiences of several public sector organisations gained through visits and guest speakers. The course is made up of three parts.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course is mainly assignment based and will involve building up a portfolio of work from all units.

Entry requirements

5 GCSE’s at 9 - 4 (or equivalent) with a minimum of D in English and or Maths.

(Students that narrowly miss out on L3 entry requirements can still be accepted subject to decision of subject leader for the chosen course). se).
