Entry Requirements:

All students need to meet the following criteria to gain a place in Year 12 at The School of Science and Technology Maidstone:

• Achieve 32 points across their eight best GCSE subjects
• A minimum grade 4 in Mathematics and English (Language or Literature)
• Meet the subject entry requirements for the course they wish to study (click here for detailed curriculum information)

The Extended Certificate is for learners who are interested in learning about the business sector, studying the purposes of different business, their structure, the effect of the external environment, and how they need to be dynamic and innovative to survive. Learners will gain skills relating to, and an understanding how a marketing campaign is developed. Students will learn about the functions of money and understand the importance of managing personal finance, different ways to pay alongside the purpose of accounting.
