Application Limits - You can make up to 5 applications to Colleges within the EKC Group, that is:

• EKC Sheppey College

*Junior Colleges exist in these locations.

Please only add one course or T Level per application, except for A Levels at EKC Canterbury College, where up to 4 A Level courses can be added per application. At your interview, you and the tutors can discuss the best level and courses in order for you to progress.

The Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Hair and Beauty is a short course designed to give you an insight into the exciting world of the hair and beauty industry. It provides a hands-on, practical learning experience that introduces you to a range of basic techniques and treatments, helping you build confidence and develop your skills.

During the course, you’ll develop a variety of fundamental skills across both hairdressing and beauty therapy.

Skills you will learn include:

• Plaiting and twisting techniques to create simple hair designs
• Shampooing and conditioning hair
• Hand and skin care
• Themed face painting
• Nail art and/or manicure and pedicure

Completing this course will give you a strong foundation and essential knowledge to help you take the next step in your hair and beauty journey.

You can progress on to further study such as:

• Level 2 Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy
• Level 2 Hair and Media Make-Up
