The units within this qualification include all the elements required to provide you with a sound basis for further study. The three mandatory units cover the art of photographic make-up, health and safety and how to create an image based on a theme. Body art, themed face painting, plaiting and twisting hair, apply make-up, instruction on make-up application, provide nail art. You will learn through theory and practical sessions and you will undertake written and practical exams. Working on external clientele to complete your practical assessments.

Four GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English or maths at grade C/4 or above.

- VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects and Hair and Media Make-Up - VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Fashion, Theatre and Media Hair and Make-Up Studies This will enable students to gain the essential skills that can lead to a career in Media Make-up including development in Hair and beauty techniques. This could then lead onto the level 3 Theatrical and Media Make-up course.
