Course Summary

IB computer science builds on the key topics studied at GCSE and looks in greater detail in the two key areas of computer systems and algorithm design and programming.

During the course you will be introduced to an object orientated language and how this can be applied to algorithm design and problem solving. The course will also take a far more in depth look at the computer system, binary representation and network design and application.

The course also looks at how computational thinking is applied to solve real world problems and the role this plays supporting the advancement of technology in the future.
