All course options will be confirmed post interviews.
When you access the application page you will be shown a list of subjects only. Please note they will not be separated into the 3 different pathways (vocational, IBCP, IBDP)
For those wishing to apply for the level1/2 vocational pathway, please select this as an option. You do not need to select any further subjects and individual choices will be confirmed at interview.

Course Summary
In IB Physics we explore the answers to questions such as:
- How do space and time combine to create our four-dimensional universe?
- How does understanding gravity help us to explore the solar system?
- How can an electron be both a wave and a particle?
- How did stars create all of the chemical elements?
How will it be delivered and assessed?
- Internal assessment (20%): A detailed experimental investigation on a research question of your choice.
- External assessment (80%):
Paper 1, 2 hours (36%):
Paper 1A – Multiple choice questions.
Paper 1B – Data-based questions.
Paper 2, 2 hours 30 min (44%):
Short answer and extended-response questions.
Entry requirements
To be admitted onto this course you will need to meet both of the following requirements:
Grade 6-6+ in GCSE Combined Science OR Grade 6+ in GCSE Physics
Grade 6+ in GCSE Mathematics
