Student profile

The Employability programme is designed for students who are a grade or two below the requirements for Level 3 Sixth Form options. This course is at Level 2 and is designed for students who need to work at a slower base with more support such as use of visual, chunking of the lessons and modelling from the teacher.

Why this course?

Studying the Employability programme will help you to increase your self-awareness, confidence, communication skills and leaderships skills. It will allow you to develop business knowledge and administrative skills which are useful for a multitude of job roles. It will allow an opportunity to re-sit GCSE English and Maths or take an alternative of Functional Skills in these subjects. Work Experience is also available to enrich the student’s skillset in the workplace and increase likelihood of future employment.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

BTEC Level 2 Technical in Business Adminstration

Exam unit - Understanding Administrative Services

3 coursework units:

• Providing Administrative Services

• Using Business Technology to Process and Communicate Information

• Planning, Organising and Supporting Business Events

BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Personal Growth and Wellbeing

5 coursework unit (no exam):

• Appreciating Emotional Wellbeing

• Investigating Personal Identity (Self-awareness)

• Developing Resilient Behaviour

• Being Financially Aware

• Leading an Outdoor Learning Activity

Entry requirements

SUBJECT SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 4 GCSEs at grade 2 or 3 including English and Maths
