Level 3 - 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or higher including English and Mathematics.
Transition - 5 GCSEs at grade 3 or higher. Either English or Mathematics must be at a grade 4.

Units that will be studied
The course comprises of 11 units (8 mandatory and 3 optional):
• Unit 1: Social Influence
• Unit 2: Memory
• Unit 3: Attachment
• Unit 4: Psychopathology
• Unit 5: Approaches in psychology
• Unit 6: Biopsychology
• Unit 7: Research methods
• Unit 8: Issues and debates in psychology
• Option 1 from: Relationships; Gender or Cognition and development
• Option 2 from: Schizophrenia; Eating behavior or Stress
• Option 3 from: Aggression; Forensic psychology or Addiction
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment
Paper 1 2hr written examination on units 1-4 33.3%
Paper 2 2hr written examination on units 5-7 33.3%
Paper 3 2hr written examination on unit 8 & optional units 33.3%
Entry requirements
LEVEL 3 ROUTE OF STUDY
STS Sixth Form offers a broad range of A Level and Applied general qualifications that will prepare you for university or employment. To access this route, you will need to have at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths; however, some subjects have specific entry criteria. You will study a programme that can be tailored to meet your interests and future aspirations to give you the best chance of academic success. This programme is a two-year linear course. To study four level 3 courses, you must have at least 5 GCSEs at grade 7 or above. All courses are subject to change and are not set in stone.
Additional Entry Requirements
GCSE English and a Science at grade 5 or above.
