Course Summary

This course is designed for those looking to enhance their knowledge and skills in sustainability, addressing key environmental, social, and economic challenges. Students will learn about different types of sustainability, decision-making stakeholders in climate change, resource management, and carbon reduction. It’s ideal for those preparing for careers or apprenticeships in environmental conservation.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course consists of two units: one assessed by exam and another through a controlled assessment, both to be completed by the end of Year 12.

Entry requirements

Applicants to this programme are expected to have at least to meeting the Hillview entry criteria plus have a Grade 5 or above in GCSE English Language.

Your next steps...

The Sustainability qualification is equivalent to half an A-Level and carries UCAS points. It prepares students for university, apprenticeships, or employment by developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills in real-world sustainability challenges.
