Sixth Form Admissions

There will be a relaunch of Sixth Form provision for September 2026 at Stone Lodge School .

This will include a mix of level 2, vocational and academic level 3 courses.

To be successful, students are expected to:

• Complete coursework tasks to set deadlines Take part in visits or fieldwork where possible

• Carry out independent research on destinations, organisations, and case studies

• Review feedback and act on guidance to improve assignments

• Prepare for assessments by consolidating class notes and resources

Students will gain a wide range of transferable and sector-specific skills, including:

• Customer Service Skills – communication, problem-solving, and professionalism

• Tourism Industry Knowledge – understanding how travel organisations operate

• Destination Knowledge – UK and international geography and attractions

• Research and Presentation Skills – using independent research to produce high-quality coursework

• Teamwork and Confidence – working with others in practical and role-play scenarios

Students must meet the school’s standard entry requirements for Level 2 programmes. A strong commitment to learning and personal development alongside an interest in travel, customer service, or working with people would be helpful. This course provides an excellent foundation for progression to Level 3 programmes.
