Course Summary
GCE A Level Biology allows students the opportunity to further pursue their interests and develop their ability and understanding in Biology further in Years 12 & 13. This course will allow the students the opportunity to move into further education to support any future career pathways including Medicine, Dentistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, and most other scientific careers. Lessons involve high level teacher-led discussion and modelling, exam practice and technique, independent research, and practical activities, and are assessed via three linear exams at the end of Year 13.

Module 2 – Foundations in biology
Module 3 – Exchange and transport
Module 4 – Biodiversity, evolution and disease
Year 13
Module 5 – Communication, homeostasis and energy
Module 6 – Genetics, evolution and ecosystems

Entry requirements
Double grade 6 or above in Science and grade 5 or above in Mathematics
