Art And Design Level 2 Diploma

This Level 2 course will build your confidence and provide you with opportunities to consolidate your skills within drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, glasswork, digital art and photography.

During this one-year course, you will develop your artistic skills and begin to build a portfolio of your work. You will gain confidence with your art and learn the necessary skills so you can pursue a career in Art and Design or Games Art once you have finished studying. The nature of this course is to provide you with opportunities to develop skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, glasswork, digital art, and photography. This will allow you to consider one of these areas to specialise in at Level 3.

Your assessments will be 100% coursework based, which may include working on live projects.

Minimum four grade 3-9 at GCSE or successful completion of the Level 1 course, and English or maths at grade 3. A portfolio of work will be required.

Once you have completed this course, you will be able to progress onto our Level 3 Art and Design or Creative Media courses. There are a number of career opportunities for you to think about after your studies. You could work towards a career as a graphic designer, web designer, photographer, illustrator, jewellery designer, animator, film director, set designer or fine artist.
