Body and Spa Therapy Level 3 Diploma

This course is designed to give you all the skills to start your career as a beauty or spa therapist. This program of study has been designed to be completed after the intermediate study programme in Beauty Therapy. Learn how to perform full body massage, face/body electrical therapies and spa services in our fully equipped hydrotherapy suite. You will also be taught a broad range of anatomy and physiology including the muscular, skeletal, cardiovascular and endocrine systems.

Building on your knowledge from the Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification you will be able to go deeper into the theory behind beauty treatments and be introduced to more advanced techniques. You will be able to understand the ageing process and learn how to perform anti-ageing face and body treatments, you will be able to care for certain skin conditions, and learn more advanced hair removal techniques. By the end of the course you will be able to deliver a diverse and advanced range of beauty treatments to clients. You will have built up significant experience, developed excellent customer service, and learned supervisory skills to enable you to start your career.

Your assessment will consist of practical tasks, coursework and exams. Practical assessments are carried out on paying clients in our commercial salons. Essential knowledge is covered through project research, case studies, written/practical assessments and online exams.

Successful completion of the Level 2 course and GCSE English or maths at grade 4.

Upon completion of this course you can go on to study beauty at Level 4, either specialising in Micropigmentation or a full diploma, which includes IPL/laser for skin rejuvenation, hair/tattoo removal, microbiology and dermatology. These courses are normally completed whilst working in the beauty industry.
