Clear skills progression from GCSE, this course allows you to build on the skills and knowledge already gained.
The ability to read critically, analyse, evaluate and undertake independent research.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
English Language and Literature is assessed through two examination papers and a non-examination assessment piece of coursework. Each examination is worth 40% with the non-examination assessment worth 20% of the final grade.

Entry requirements
In order to attend Meopham Sixth Form the minimum entry requirement is 5 level 4 GCSEs, including English Language and Mathematics.
To study A Level English Language and Literature students are required to achieve a minimum of a Level 5 in GSCE English Literature and a Level 5 in GCSE English Language.
