You will be required to wear a uniform and have a kit to work with while studying this course. The kit costs around �100 and the uniform around �50.

Course Summary

During this Level 1 course, you will learn the basics of Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy treatment techniques. You will get an overview of both of these exciting industries, learning how to perform a range of basic treatments before specialising in one of these areas.

Course Details

This one year course is designed to provide you with the foundation skills required to progress onto a level 2 course while working towards your English and Maths qualifications. During this course you will study fundamental units in health and safety, professional image, basic hair styling, shampooing and hair styling

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Your assessments will focus around practical tasks and treatments carried out in the salon, as well as coursework assignments and exams.

Entry requirements

You will need to demonstrate an ability to achieve Level 1 English and maths by the end of the course through an initial assessment.

After completing the course you will have experience in hair and beauty and will be able to choose a path in either Hairdressing, make-up or Beauty Therapy.
