Course Summary
Whether you're passionate about creative computing, photography, video production, film making, audio production, editing, or digital design, the course offers a comprehensive introduction to the tools and techniques used within the industry.
Course Details
You will explore and experiment in a variety of virtual and multimedia production areas, gaining hands-on experience with a range of Adobe software and audio-visual equipment.
You will learn the fundamentals of:
- Visual Language: Learning how to communicate ideas or emotions using images, symbols, and colours instead of words.
- Narrative and Genre: How are stories told and what do audiences expect from different types of digital media presentations and platforms.
- Digital Design: Introduction to graphic design and digital illustration, focusing on creating visual content for a range of multimedia projects.
- Photography: Exposure and shot techniques, creating narratives and understanding the meaning behind other photographer’s work.
- Interactive Media: Exploring the basics of virtual environment design and web page creation.
- Video Production: Camera work, storyboarding ideas,

Your progress will be evaluated through a combination of practical projects, reflective evaluations, research, and presentations. You'll receive constructive feedback to help you grow and refine your development.
The awarding body is the University of the Arts London (UAL).
