If you’re excited about starting a sporting career or working with the wider community, this Level 2 course is perfect for you.

By leading and working on a range of activities, you’ll shape the community, grow your skills and knowledge and have an impact on local people.

Course Details

Using a combination of theory and practical sessions, you will learn a selection of integral sport and leisure topics based around community activities, so that you’re ready to go into a number of roles.

The units you will study include:

  • Working in the Sport and Active Leisure industry
  • Roles and Responsibilities of a Community Activity Leader
  • Planning and Promoting Community Activities
  • Working as a Community Activity Leader

You will also gain employability skills in teamwork, communication and leadership for example, which will help you stand out in the field and gain confidence.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment takes place during practical sessions, presentations and observations and written assignments.

Your next steps...

Once you finish your course, you will be ready to start in an entry-level position in a range of roles in Sport.
