Please only add one course or T Level per application, except for A Levels at EKC Canterbury College, where up to 4 A Level courses can be added per application. At your interview, you and the tutors can discuss the best level and courses in order for you to progress.

A Travel and Tourism course is your passport to success, with this Level 2 course designed to help you explore the opportunities available within this global industry. If you’re thinking about studying Travel and Tourism, you’re likely curious about the world around you and interested in working with people from different cultures. You’ll develop a strong understanding of how the Travel sector operates, with a unique part of the course being the opportunity to train in our on site plane simulation suite. Alongside this, you’ll benefit from employer engagement opportunities and trips, including potential international experiences, helping you understand the global nature of the industry. On our Level 2 course, you’ll gain a broad insight into the exciting and fast paced Travel and Tourism industry, developing the knowledge, transferrable skills and confidence needed for a range of future career pathways. You’ll explore key areas of the sector, including how destinations attract visitors, how tourism businesses operate, and how excellent customer service underpins success across the industry. Topics focused on include: • Destination Marketing • European and International Holiday Destinations • Customer Service within Travel and Tourism • An Introduction to the Role of Cabin Crew Alongside this, all students benefit from employer engagement days with professionals from across the tourism and travel sector. These experiences help you explore career pathways, understand employer expectations and gain insight into a variety of workplace environments. By combining theory, practical training and industry engagement, you’ll leave the course well prepared for your next steps in Travel and Tourism, or a range of other related areas.

The assessments are all designed to test your knowledge of the Travel sector and to ensure you’re ready for your next steps. Alongside your timetabled lessons, you’ll complete independent study activities such as research projects, helping you deepen your knowledge and stay on track for success. Your final grade will be calculated with a series of unique group projects, coursework across the year, and an exam.

After completing a Level 2 course, students often progress onto further study in Travel. You could also start a focused apprenticeship, with many companies across the globe offering opportunities to train with them. Entry level roles in the sector are also available for you to kickstart your career.
