Course Summary

Develop your creative work in a whole range of written forms and genres and explore how writing is crafted through different platforms and media.

Course Details

This course focuses on the writing side of creative media, as you learn the process of writing and technical skills across all forms and mediums. Projects and processes you will study include:

  • Copywriting
  • Social Media platforms
  • Industry standards
  • Writing skills
  • Technical skills
  • Self-development

You will also learn how to study your own writing and theory practices, helping you develop employability skills for your future, whether that be higher study or work.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Your portfolio of your work will be built throughout the course through practical and written assignments, group projects and production work, which are graded by external assessors against your unit criteria.

There is also a final major project which will determine your final grade.

Progress to higher education at a range of universities and prestigious schools across the country and the world. This course is an excellent route into media, journalism, law, public policy, film and TV production.
