Develop the training and skills needed to become a qualified electrician.

Course Details

You will learn the enhanced skills needed to progress into the electrical field. Our course will equip you with the core units needed when entering employment.

Topics you will cover include:

  • Health and safety in building services engineering
  • Understanding the fundamental principles and requirements of environmental technology systems
  • The principles of electrical science
  • Electrical installations (fault diagnosis and rectification, inspection, testing and commissioning)
  • Eectrical system design
  • Career awareness in building services engineering.

Throughout the course, you will learn a wide variety of skills and techniques in our well-equipped workshops. And you will have the opportunity to take part in national skills competitions and work on community projects.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Students are assessed by a synoptic exam and practical assignment.

In order to work as a qualified electrician you will need to progress onto a Level 3 Electrical Apprenticeship after completion of this course.
