To apply for the Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship, candidates must: Secure employment: Have an employer in place who is committed to supporting them throughout the apprenticeship. Work hours: Be employed full-time, working a minimum of 30 hours per week, and be on the company?s PAYE scheme. Educational qualifications: Ideally hold a minimum of 3 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (or equivalent). If candidates do not hold maths and English at grade 4/C or above, they will be required to complete Functional Skills qualifications alongside their apprenticeship. Candidates can also hold a Level 2 Certificate in Engineering or an apprenticeship.
