Please only add one course or T Level per application, except for A Levels at EKC Canterbury College, where up to 4 A Level courses can be added per application. At your interview, you and the tutors can discuss the best level and courses in order for you to progress.
Course Summary
Get equipped with the industry experience, skills and knowledge needed to build a career in the world of Engineering.
T Level courses are available to those aged 16-19. 80% of your studies take place in College and 20% is spent on a dedicated work placement.
Course Details
On the course, you’ll gain key practical skills by using industry-standard machines and software in our brand new engineering workshops.
You will cover a range of in-depth topics such as:
- Understanding material properties – how materials, conditions and context influence design processes and products
- Working in the engineering and manufacturing sectors
- Mathematics for engineering and manufacturing
- Principles of business, commerce, and finance
You’ll also get the chance to focus on a specific area of engineering that interests you. By learning more about an occupational specialism, you’ll build extra skills to achieve your progression goals.
Your academic studies will also be combined with a 45-day work experience placement with a local employer.
In your placement, you will further develop what you’ve learnt in College and gain valuable experiences that are wanted by employers across the world.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
T Levels are assessed with a combination of exams, coursework, and completion of your industry placement.
Your next steps...
Upon successful completion of a T Level, you will have the option to progress onto a higher level of study, such as at university, or an apprenticeship.
Alternatively, you could seek employment within the industry, using your new skills and experiences to boost your career prospects.
