You can make up to 5 applications to Colleges within the EKC Group, that is:

• EKC Broadstairs College*
• EKC Canterbury College*
• EKC Dover Technical College
• EKC Folkestone College*
• EKC Sheppey College

*Junior Colleges exist in these locations.

Please only add one course or T Level per application, except for A Levels at EKC Canterbury College, where up to 4 A Level courses can be added per application. At your interview, you and the tutors can discuss the best level and courses in order for you to progress.

In today’s digital world, digital technology is shaping our everyday lives and work and there is a high demand for people with digital skills. This course will give you the skills and knowledge needed to prepare for a range of roles in the digital industry, such as software and programming, network support and digital design. You will learn the essential digital and IT skills valued by employers and develop the key knowledge required to thrive in the digital sector.

You will be taught an overview of technical IT skills, including hardware, networking, website and employability skills. Theory knowledge will also be applied against your modules, which include: • Software Development • Computing in the Workplace • Website Development • Computational Thinking • Multimedia Products Development • Technology Systems This knowledge will be applied through a wide range of projects and assignments during your course.

You will be assessed through written assignments and observed practical work and discussions. On the course you also build your portfolio which acts as supporting evidence for assessment.

You can progress onto further study, such as a Level 3 course in a computing area or start your career in an entry level job in the industry.
