Please only add one course or T Level per application, except for A Levels at EKC Canterbury College, where up to 4 A Level courses can be added per application. At your interview, you and the tutors can discuss the best level and courses in order for you to progress.

It’s tailored to individuals eager to develop their careers, empowering you to take charge of your future. You’ll expand your contact base, work on a start-up project, and refine your professional practice.

You will be taught through a combination of:

  • Seminars
  • Group critiques
  • 1:1 tutorials
  • Practical workshops
  • Formal assessments, which are entirely coursework-based, will be set throughout the year to monitor your progress.

The programme is student-focused, encouraging individualised and self-directed learning, with full mentoring support tailored to your specialist discipline. Whether your goal is to start a business, grow as a freelancer, or explore new career opportunities, this course will help you achieve it.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment is employer-informed and criteria-based, tailored to individual student specialisms. Ongoing formative and summative assessment will take place with tutors making ‘indicative grade judgements’ on submitted work, but the grade will derive from the students Final Major Project in phase 3 of the course.

Entry requirements

It would be expected that before starting the course you would have good GCSE grades in Maths and English (Cs and above) and three A levels or Level 3 equivalent, including a visual art based course. When you come to your one to one interview by clicking on Apply, ensure you bring a portfolio of your work, demonstrating your skill and ambition in a range of visual art techniques as well as your analytical and critical thinking abilities. At interview you will be asked what you would like to do with this course, ie what visual arts industry would you like to work in on completion of the course.
