How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment

360 GLH (480 TQT) Equivalent in size to one A Level. 4 units of which 3 are mandatory and 2 are external. Mandatory content (83%). External assessment (58%).

Examinations – all learners take the same assessment at the same time, normally with a written outcome.

Set tasks – learners take the assessment during a defined window and demonstrate understanding through completion of a vocational task.

Performance – learners prepare for assessment over an extended window and demonstrate skills that generate some non-written evidence.

Entry requirements

GENERIC VOCATIONAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: GCSE 4-9 in English Language & Vocational course at Level 2 Merit

SUBJECT SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: Grade 4 or above in English Literature.
