Course Summary

A-Level Geography is a fascinating and rewarding subject that will help learners to understand the world around them and the challenges that we face. Geography is essential for finding solutions to problems such as climate change, sustainable development, and global inequality. The course covers a wide range of topics, including physical geography, human geography, and geographical fieldwork investigation. Studies will also include a four-day residential field trip, where students will get to put into practice what they have learnt and conduct a geographical study of their own.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Component 1: Physical geography (40%)

Component 2: Human geography (40%)

Component 3: Geography fieldwork investigation (20%)


Entry requirements

Grade 9-4 in 5 GCSEs including English and Maths. Although desirable, it is not a requirement that you have studied Geography before.
