Entry Requirements: - Vary by course please see individual subject information on this website. We also require students to achieve at least five Grade 5s or above at GCSE for Level 3 curriculum. For our Level 2 Pathway, students need to have five Grade 3s or above, inlcuding English and Maths

Course Summary

Sociology is the study of society; it is interested in investigating how society works, what the effect of different systems and structures of society on individuals and the different forms of inequality that exists within society. Sociology is about understanding the reasons behind social issues and proposing solutions to bring about positive social change.

Social sciences degrees such as sociology, psychology, social policy, politics and history. It can facilitate with other subjects entry onto a wide range of other degrees as many of the skills developed are transferable to other subject areas.
