Entry Requirements: - Vary by course please see individual subject information on this website. We also require students to achieve at least five Grade 5s or above at GCSE for Level 3 curriculum. For our Level 2 Pathway, students need to have five Grade 3s or above, inlcuding English and Maths

Course Summary

What is BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate Music Performance?

During the course students will explore Ensemble Music Performance through rehearsal, evaluations, instrumental techniques and a final performance. They will also study Music Theory and put it in to practice showing a clear path from knowledge gained to the end product in compositions. Students will also look at the Music Industry and prepare for a career outside the obvious performance sector, looking at budgets, putting together bids, presentation skills and planning for events.

Entry requirements

Grade 4 in both English and Maths OR Grade 5 in GCSE Music, Merit in vocational music qualification OR Instrument skills to Grade 5 ABRSM.
