Advice:
Business is an intellectually challenging and highly relevant subject that helps students understand how organisations operate, make decisions and respond to an ever-changing economic environment. It develops analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills, while also teaching students how to interpret data, construct persuasive arguments and apply knowledge to real business scenarios. Business is a well-respected academic discipline that provides excellent preparation for a wide range of university degree courses and career pathways. Historically, our students have progressed to universities, often studying Business as a discrete subject or alongside disciplines such as Economics, Accounting, Psychology and Law. It also supports progression into higher and degree apprenticeships in areas such as management, finance, marketing and business operations. Business students go on to a diverse range of careers, including management, finance, marketing, human resources, entrepreneurship and consultancy, with the transferable skills developed through the course being highly valued by both universities and employers.
