Course Details

You will learn the basics of the hair industry, as well as the knowledge needed to start your career in a salon.

Our curriculum covers areas including:

  • Client consultation
  • Choosing the right shampoo
  • Effect of hair products
  • Cutting techniques
  • Colouring techniques

In our industry standard salons, put your skills into practice on real clients whilst learning from experts in the field.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment will take place through practical observations in our salons, as well as with written work and online tests.

Your next steps...

Once you finish your course, you will be ready to start in an entry-level position in the hair and beauty industry. You can also go onto further study in this area, such as a Level 3 qualification, or an Apprenticeship.
