Course Summary

This course is designed to prepare you for work within the Electro-Technical Industry as an Electrician.

Course Details

In this course you will learn about Health and Safety when dealing with electronics alongside the principles of electrical science and electrical installation theory. You will also have the opportunity to develop practical installation skills in our well-equipped workshops.

The course will include a module in renewable energy technologies which will then enable you to progress onto the Level 3 qualification after which you can become a qualified electrician.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment will be through completing a portfolio of work, practical assessments and multi-choice exams.

Entry requirements

You will need GCSE Grade C or above in maths and English, however, all applicants will be interviewed and assessed on an individual basis.

On successful completion, you could progress on to further study, an apprenticeship, or seek employment within the industry (you may need to obtain a CSCS Card).
