Course Details

Our Level 3 course provides an in depth understanding of the Travel and Tourism sector, developing your knowledge, transferrable skills and professional confidence needed to seamlessly start a career. You’ll explore key areas of the industry in detail, including how destinations attract and manage visitors, how tourism businesses operate within a global market, and how excellent customer service underpins success across the sector. Topics focused on include: • Global destinations • Managing customer experience in travel • Working overseas • Travel trends • The UK as a destination • Sustainable tourism • The airport experience A standout feature of our course is the opportunity to train in our on site Plane Simulation Suite. This specialist space allows you to practise safety briefings, role play on board service scenarios, and develop professional communication skills in a realistic setting. Recently upgraded with luxury first class seating, a PA system and sound effects, the suite creates an immersive environment that helps build your confidence and prepares you for real cabin crew training. Alongside this, all students benefit from employer engagement days with professionals from across the Travel and Travel sector. These experiences help you explore career pathways, understand employer expectations and gain insight into a variety of workplace environments. By combining theory, practical training and industry engagement, you’ll leave the course well prepared for your next steps in Travel and Tourism, or a range of other related areas.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The assessments are all designed to test your knowledge of the Travel sector and to ensure you’re ready for your next steps. Alongside your timetabled lessons, you’ll complete independent study activities such as research projects. helping you deepen your knowledge and stay on track for success. Your final grade will be calculated with a series of unique group projects, coursework across the year, and an exam.
