Course Details

Students will undertake an in-depth study of the French language, culture, and society. The course develops advanced communication skills, focusing on reading, listening, speaking, and writing in French. Students explore a variety of contemporary and cultural topics such as family, multiculturalism, politics, media, technology, and the environment. The programme also includes the study of French literature and film, where students analyse themes, characters, and social issues within authentic works. This helps to build critical thinking, independent learning, and confident expression — skills that are valuable in both academic and professional setting.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The final assessment includes all four key components: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Grades are awarded from A* to E.
