Overall entry requirements:
A Levels: 5 GCSEs at grade 5-9, including English and mathematics
Applied General Qualifications : 5 GCSEs at grade 4-9, including English and mathematics

Chelsea FC and Kent Crusaders Basketball Instructions:
Students must choose three (3) different subject options from three different Option Blocks (you cannot choose the same subject more than once). If a student is selecting the Chelsea FC or Kent Crusaders options, they will need to pick 3 A Levels/BTECS to study alongside this. Students should ensure they are predicted or have achieved grades that meet the entry criteria for chosen options by consulting the UKAT Sixth Form Course booklet. The blocking structure can be amended dependent on course sign up and other timetabling factors.
Course Summary
Course Details
Students explore the fundamental principles that explain how our world works—at the atomic level and beyond. This challenging course encourages learners to develop a deep understanding of the structure, properties, and reactions of matter. It is ideal for those with a curious mind and a passion for science. Students will study six core areas: Development of Practical Skills, Foundations in Chemistry, the Periodic Table and Energy, Core Organic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Transition Elements, and Organic Chemistry and Analysis. These topics blend theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory skills, equipping students with both scientific understanding and practical experience
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment is via three externally examined papers with Paper 3 being a synoptic paper. In addition, students complete a Practical Endorsement in Chemistry, assessed internally and reported separately. A Level Chemistry is graded A*–E and carries 16 to 56 UCAS points.

A Levels: 5 GCSEs at grade 5-9 and grade 6 in English, Maths and Combined Science or Chemistry
