Course Details

Using a combination of theory and practical sessions, you will learn a selection of integral sport and leisure subjects, including:

  • Injury in sport
  • Practical sport
  • Sports coaching
  • Fitness testing and training
  • Sports Psychology

You will also gain employability skills in teamwork, communication and leadership for example, which will help you stand out in the field and gain confidence.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Assessment takes place through practical work, presentations and observations, as well as through your portfolio of work over the course. These are used to demonstrate your professional abilities and are moderated against unit criteria.

Your next steps...

Once you finish your course, you will be ready to start in an entry-level position in the sports and leisure industry. You can also go onto further study in this area, such as a Level 3 qualification, or an Apprenticeship.
