You can make up to 5 applications to Colleges within the EKC Group, that is:

• EKC Ashford College
• EKC Broadstairs College*
• EKC Canterbury College*
• EKC Dover Technical College
• EKC Folkestone College*
• EKC Sheppey College

*Junior Colleges exist in these locations.

Please only add one course or T Level per application, except for A Levels at EKC Canterbury College, where up to 4 A Level courses can be added per application. At your interview, you and the tutors can discuss the best level and courses in order for you to progress.

Start off an exciting future in Media and study a wide range of specialisms with us. Be provided with the key knowledge, skills and understanding that are vital for this industry.

Learning consists of developing your media skills through practical projects, alongside theory work, to give you a greater understanding of the industry. Units include:

• Pre-production Techniques
• Communication skills for creative media production
• Research techniques
• Film and Video editing techniques

Building your portfolio is a key part of the course, and this enables you to progress into the desired subject area that you wish to go into, demonstrating practical skills and actual media products.

Your portfolio of your work including written documentation will be graded by external assessors against your unit criteria. There are also specific projects for your units which you will be assessed during.

After completing this course, you can progress onto a higher level apprenticeship or start your professional career in several roles based on your interests and strengths.
