Course Summary
Mathematics is timeless. The skills that are learnt at Mathematics A Level are not only transferable, in terms of analytical and problem-solving skills, they are directly applicable to a wide range of jobs and higher education courses.
Course Details
Students studying towards A Level Mathematics will have to complete three examinations at the end of year 13, which will cover the topics studied across Years 12 and 13. This will consist of two papers covering Pure Mathematics and a third one covering application of Mechanics and Statistics. Pure Mathematics covers a range of topics from algebra, geometry through to vectors and numerical methods. Mechanics and statistics cover probability, statistical enquiries, kinematics, forces and moments.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Exam at the end of 2 year course.
