Entry Requirements: - Admission to Towers Sixth Form to study A levels or BTEC equivalent will be awarded on the basis of GCSE performance. Each subject has its own entry requirements.

Course Summary

The Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Uniformed Protective Services explores a wide variety of different aspects that affect public services. The course helps develop knowledge of understanding of a range of roles within a range of Public Services and can help prepare students for further study, careers in the public sector or knowledge about the UK.

Course Details

Across the two years, students will study units:

- Behaviour and Discipline in the Uniformed Protective Services
- Teamwork, Leadership and Communication in the Uniformed Protective Services
- Citizenship and Diversity
- Physical Preparation, Health and Wellbeing.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course has four units: three units are coursework, and one unit is an externally assessed exam (33% of overall grade).

3-5 GCSEs grade 4 and above including English or Maths and Science

This qualification is useful when pursuing a wide range of careers in the world of public services. Likewise, students have gained the experience and knowledge necessary to support them in applications to the Police, Armed Forces and Emergency Services.

Previous students have gone on to study BA (Hons) Business and Finance, BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science, start advanced apprenticeships in architecture and quantity surveying and join the police.
