Explore the fast-paced world of the film, game and animation industry, as you specialise your VFX knowledge and use your imagination to create a dynamic range of projects.

You will develop your skills and understanding of the fast-paced world of Visual Effects. This will include Motion Capture for Animated character designs, using Unreal Engine to create environments to be used for Virtual Production projects. A Photogrammetry studio means you’ll also be 3D scanning small to full body assets. You will gain an understanding of compositing, and the workflow used within the industry along with other skills needed to have a successful career in this field. The VFX industry is a developing area, especially within the UK, and there’s also high demand for these skills worldwide.

This course will be assessed with multiple projects that will build your skills in several areas. You will then be issued a brief at the end of each year, in which you will be able to come up with your own project. Your grade for each year will come from the final project, however you will be assessed during the course with detailed feedback on how to improve. This is a very supported curriculum that will allow you to be given clear development points on how to improve as you develop your skills.

This course can lead to further study at University, where you will be able to focus your studies further within the VFX world or within another creative field. This course could also lead to employment opportunities based on the skills you will be learning throughout your time.
