Course Summary
This course is designed to help students build confidence, independence and practical skills for the workplace while exploring a range of creative and professional subjects.
Alongside completing the Employability Skills qualification, students will take part in hands-on sessions across Music, Film, Games, Photography, Art, Business and IT, helping them discover their interests and develop valuable real-world experience.
Course Details
Throughout the course, students will develop skills including:
- Teamwork and Communication – Learn how to work positively with others, share ideas and take part in group projects.
- Film and Creative Media Activities – Explore filmmaking, camera skills, editing and visual storytelling.
- Photography Skills – Learn how to take creative photographs while exploring lighting, composition and image editing.
- Games and Digital Skills – Experiment with games design, gameplay projects and creative software.
- Music Production and Performance – Take part in music recording, production and practical workshop sessions.
- Art and Design Projects – Develop creativity through drawing, design and practical art activities.
- Business and Enterprise Skills – Learn about teamwork, planning ideas and professional behaviour in the workplace.
- IT and Digital Confidence – Build confidence using computers, software and digital tools.
- Personal Development and Employability – Improve organisation, confidence, time management and interview skills.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment is completed through coursework and practical activities. Students will complete Units that will go towards achieving the award alongside building a portfolio of evidence showing their skills, participation and development throughout the year.
There are no formal exams.
Entry requirements
This course is ideal for students who want to build confidence, gain practical experience and explore different creative subjects before progressing onto further study or employment.
