Please only add one course or T Level per application, except for A Levels at EKC Canterbury College, where up to 4 A Level courses can be added per application. At your interview, you and the tutors can discuss the best level and courses in order for you to progress.

Course Summary

Develop your creativity through a range of artistic practices, media, techniques, and processes, and be introduced to the world of Art and Design.

Course Details

You will explore different techniques and utilise a range of materials and mediums, such as:

  • Drawing
  • Painting
  • Printmaking
  • 3D Design
  • Textiles
  • Photography
  • Digital Design

The units in the course will expand your knowledge of art history and famous artists, alongside the practical elements.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will build a portfolio of your work, which will be graded by external assessors against your unit criteria.

Entry requirements

Level then determined by audition or portfolio. With little or no portfolio and/or performance experience you will be advised to study on the most appropriate route to build your distinctive portfolio and gain skills and knowledge to ensure success at higher levels of study.

Your next steps...

Upon successful completion, go onto further study or progress to a Level 3 course. You can also start your career in the Arts industry across a range of specialisms.
