Beauty Therapy is a fast-growing industry all about creativity, style and helping people look and feel their best. This Level 2 course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to start your journey in this exciting sector. If you’re drawn to Beauty, you probably enjoy creating new looks, experimenting with design and seeing the results of your work. On this course, you will learn how professional therapists deliver high-quality services in salon environments. You’ll also explore a wide range of treatments and techniques yourself with practical sessions, client appointments and unique projects, giving you an authentic experience of working in the beauty world. As you develop your client care skills and build a portfolio of work, you will showcase your creativity and progress, so you are ready to move into further study, an apprenticeship, or your first role in a salon.

On this Level 2 Beauty Therapy course, you’ll develop the practical skills and confidence needed to begin your journey in the beauty industry. Study with us and discover a wide range of professional treatments and techniques, whilst you build the ability to create polished, high-quality looks. You’ll cover areas such as: • Facial Skincare • Waxing • Manicures • Eyelash treatments • Eyebrow treatments • Health and Safety • Client Care • Reception Skills You’ll also explore creative looks with many practical activities, learning how to respond to different client requests and develop your own style. Most of your clients will be found in our industry-standard commercial salon. This space gives you genuine experience using professional equipment and products while gaining confidence in a salon environment. Dedicated work experience opportunities will further strengthen your skills and give you valuable insight into the beauty industry, before you progress onto employment or further study.

All assessments are designed to showcase your practical skills and to ensure you’re ready for your next steps in the beauty industry. You’ll mainly be assessed with practical observations in our commercial salon, alongside written tasks and exams that check your understanding of professional techniques. Throughout the course, you’ll also build a portfolio of your work, giving you a visual record of your progress and achievements that you can use for future opportunities.

This programme is designed to help you move toward a Level 3 qualification, which can lead to advanced jobs or apprenticeships. You can finish with a Level 2 qualification and get a skilled job at the end of the course but progressing to Level 3 will give you more career choices and improve your future earning potential. It also opens doors to further studies, like Higher Education and Higher or Degree Apprenticeships. These can lead you from advanced technician or supervisor roles at Level 3 to management or professional status as you continue studying. To join this programme, you'll need the equivalent of 4 GCSEs at grade 3, ideally including English and maths.

After completing this Level 2 course, many students choose to progress onto further study in Beauty Therapy. Your options include moving onto our Level 3 courses, designed so you refine your skills and work towards higher-level roles within the industry. You may also decide to begin an apprenticeship or step straight into an entry-level salon position with a local business.
