Course Summary
Understand how technology impacts creativity and innovation and build relevant skills in this Level 2 course.
In this course, you will use a range of software and hardware to develop your IT skills, and use game technology to work on practical projects.
This two-year programme provides additional time to achieve a qualification in English and/or Maths.
Course Details
Develop your skills and understand what Computing is, in both a technical and cultural sense. Theory knowledge will be applied against your modules, which include:
- Digital Infrastructures
- Creative Coding
- Website Development
- Digital Creative Industries
- Computational Environments
- Visual Design
This knowledge will be applied through a wide range of projects and assignments during your course, in which you build practical skills.
You will develop transferrable technical and practical skills in your work experience, based on the knowledge gained in College. This gives you opportunity to use your skills in a realistic working environment.
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Assessment will take place through practical assignments, for which you will be graded against unit criteria. There will also be some written assignments and online exams.

You can progress onto further study, such as a Level 3 course or Level 3 apprenticeship in computing.
